El Eco de la Amistad

I worked as an illustrator on this project with the Spanish publisher Babidibú.

SUMMARY:

Rani is a small, bright emerald-colored frog who lives in an enchanted forest. Unlike the others, her voice is deep and low, which causes the other animals to reject her. Sad and isolated, Rani faces an unexpected situation when a squirrel gets trapped in a tree. At that moment, she must decide whether to use her peculiar voice to call for help, proving that what made her different could be her greatest strength.

IMPLICIT VALUES:

This story conveys values such as friendship, by showing how Rani finds support in other animals; courage, by using her voice to help the squirrel despite her fears; and respect for diversity, by teaching that differences enrich us. It also highlights self-acceptance and the importance of valuing what makes us unique, different, and special.
